This series started off well with it’s fun twist on dating services for the supernatural folk. It has slipped, however, into books with pages and pages of inane dialog and boring plot with very little real story behind it. This book in particular was a disappointing waste of reading time. Skip it and hope the next in the series is better.

Lil Marchette is a Born Vampire who is as into fashion as any runway model and she pretends to be a Bad Ass Vampire, but in the inside she is a softhearted, romantic fashionista. She is continually struggling to keep her business, Dead End Dating, afloat and one step ahead of the creditors and having to move back home with her parents. Really, isn’t being five hundred old enough to live on your own? Apparently, Lil’s parents didn’t get the memo on that or the fact that she doesn’t want to be set up with any of the übber snob Born Vampires her mother is constantly setting her up with. And on top of that, Lil is on the fence about introducing to her family her super-hot boyfriend Ty to her family, since he is a Made Vampire and that’s a no-no for Born Vampires like Lil.

This time Lil has hit upon the perfect idea to give her business a lift – the Meet and Greet of the century for all supernatural beings. All is going well, until one of Lil’s favorite clients, Esther, comes up missing, leaving a huge trail of blood in her wake. As Lil straps on her Bad Ass Vampire sling backs she sets out to investigate the whereabouts of Esther and save her at all costs. But will Lil have the chance when she has to balance her nosy family, keep her business running, keep Ty under wraps and battle a nefarious Warlock for Esther’s life?

Sucker for Love is an amazing funny book will have you rolling in laughter as Lil valiantly struggles against fashion challenged people, the blistering heat of Texas and her meddling mother. Lil is absolutely hilarious with her witty internal dialogue and crazy antics to keep all the balls she’s juggling in the air. In the spirit of the best vampire comedies, Sucker for Love will floor you with Lil as the classic anti-vampire and a family that nobody would wish on anyone – but they and Lil’s kooky friends will have you laughing out loud as it keeps you glued to your seat and turning the pages way past your bedtime! Kimberly Raye keeps the fire going in the vampire genre in this fifth installment of the Dead End Dating universe, which will leave you eagerly waiting for the next installment of the series. I absolutely loved, loved, loved Sucker for Love to the point that I can’t wait to see what comes next as this is an extraordinary book that will pull you into the story from the get-go and leave you wishing for more of Lil and her band of unique friends and family! Get yourself Sucker for Love as it’s an exciting and funny romp into the life of a Bad Ass Born Vampire and her adventures!

Good book! Fourth or fifth in the series, can’t wait for the next one. Only one complaint, the ending was a little weak on this one.

Lil Marchette, the fantastically fashionable and hopeless romantic vampire owner of Dead End Dating, is in a bit of trouble as usual. This time her guarantee to find several clients love in a certain amount of time or their money back is about to expire but her credit card bills are well and truly alive and breathing down her neck. Returning hard won money is unthinkable when she has makeup to buy. So as a final push she stages a ball at the Plaza for all the species to mingle and find somebody to love. And just when everything looks like it can’t get any better, a warlock kidnaps her made vampire friend Esther(from the series first book) and Lil is desperate to get her back before she’s tortured to death as part of a ritual spell.

On top of that, as if that wasn’t horrifying enough, Lil’s mother is trying to drug Mandy, her new and horrifyingly human daughter-in-law, with contraceptive pills in an effort to keep her from bringing a non vampire baby into the family. Her secret boyfriend, Ty the bounty hunting made vampire, is having commitment issues that are driving Lil loopy. And the Nina who is dating her brother, one of her best buds, is having commitment issues of her own and a crisis that’s well worth reading about!

With her family overwhelming her and time ticking down, Lil takes matters into her own two manicured hands only to have all her troubles follow her across the country. Weirdly everything works out in the end, just not as she or the reader may expect. This was a very fast paced read without the heaviness that dragged the last two books down. I was laughing out loud more than once and am definitely looking forward to the next book which there was a great teaser for at the end of this story. I can’t wait to see how Lil gets out of the next crazy predicament!

I really did enjoy the new DED book. I thought it was funny as usual and i’m happy were the story has gone. Lil is one of a kind and very caring for a vampire. You can’t help but fall in love with her*wink, wink Ty* Can’t wait for the next one since the family will be coming to vegas!
